Gerry Weinstein is again opening the doors of the Engineerium and firing up the grill. Join us for what was once an annual end-of-summer social. The steam engines will be running and the heated pool will be open for swimming.
Bring a dish to share. To coordinate (so there are not just 20 bags of chips), please email Lynn Rakos at lrakos@hotmail.com and let her know what you plan to bring.
If traveling by car, we trust most of you can use Google Maps online to plan your trip or a GPS system in your vehicle to guide you to the location.
To spot the driveway, watch for the 75-ton silver shackle. There will also be a large “SIA” sign at the end of the driveway. Turn left immediately after the small stone building at the end of the driveway and follow the signs. (If you keep going and reach the Cottage or the Big House, turn around and head back and turn right just before you reach the road.) Parking is available in the meadow.
Croton-on-Hudson is easy to reach by train. Take Metro North or Amtrak to Croton-Harmon station. Get one of the taxis that always meet the train. Or, call J&S Taxi at (914)271-4000.
Call the Engineerium at 914-271-4949 or Gerry’s cell 917-817-4184 on the day of the Roast if you have difficulties finding the place.
